In the Fall of 1973 the Blue Mountain Eagle Climbing Club
scheduled
a bicycle ride. Thirty-seven people showed up for that
ride.
Some of those riders got together for four more rides. One of
them
was Carroll Winterhalter. Mr. Winterhalter thought we should
organize
a club and arranged a meeting for that purpose in November 1973.
The
first schedule for the club was published in December and from that
time
on the club has scheduled rides every Sunday, some Saturdays and some
holidays.
